Winter Smartsiez

Hey there... Christmas time! 😲 Since it's a special time, why not have a compressed November+December, festive edition?  Yeah, who am I kidding. I lost track of time , again. I fell again into the whole pre-holidays madness trap, along with some personal issues, and didn't manage to set up the November Smartsiez in time. Boo for me and the promise I made myself. 😟 But! These smartsiez are time friendly(-ish). Think entertaining podcasts, animated book summaries, light(er) subjects. Who knows, maybe this Christmas lunch with the fam will be the most interesting yet, with many new, interesting, topics to debate... or not? Maybe not everyone is interested in... bacteria covering all our bodies, including our insides  πŸ˜ I for one, find this whole subject fascinating. And incredibly meaningful. So please, kindly approach me with this kind of topics, anytime, and you will be my star-marked friend.  Anywho, a quick look into this edition's smartsiez: Microbiology

October's Smartsiez

Oh hi, full blown autumn!  You caught me by surprise, I actually didn't expect you to be so beautiful πŸ’—  OK, cheesy things aside, as much as I loved the past days' weather, I think I'm ready for the rainy, chilly, stay-inside days.  I have so many pending me-time projects that reaaaally require bad weather for me to avoid the, you know... FOMO πŸ˜•.  Speaking of FOMO, FOND , and other (modern) fears, this month on Smartsiez , I have a pretty awesome and (for me) life-changing podcast + episode to recommend. Along with... a beautiful love-themed TV Show (a long awaited one πŸ’—),  some much needed advice for women in particular,  the life story of an unconventional empress (Empress Elisabeth of Austria),  a heartbreaking but empowering documentary about a troubled, unlucky teenager and her super-heroines (women power ftw ✌),  an insta account to follow for fun & geeky facts,  the neverending mistery around black holes, two pumpkin goodies  aaaand the sk

September's Smartsiez

Oh, September.  Quite poetic to start something fresh now, it almost feels like keeping the tradition of all those study years when a new school year would begin :) #stayinschool #iguess?  Welcome to my first monthly newsletter, where all my stumbled-upon goodies gather in this old-fashioned blogging form, here to seriously challenge my dusty html/css/+ skills.  I blabbered more on this in my previous post , if you'd like to see it.  Scroll below for some interesting findings: on how much work should matter, what is "flow" and why should you try it, why does sleep matter (and how to track it, never thought it can be so interesting!), where and how and why to meditate, common myths, a yummy recipe aaaaand the best for last: where to travel for good coffee.  Speaking of coffee, why not grab yourself one now? Quick tip before you start: the pictures (headers) for each section want to be clicked πŸ˜„ Diving right in with this one. Stumbled upon it from the dail

Unleash the Smartsiez

Well, hello there! So, what's this about, huh? Let me give it a proper introduction; not too long though, who's got the time? Haha, about that... It's already clichΓ© to say it, although it's definitely not only me in this: time. is. slipping. away. No kidding, right? We are constantly in an avalanche of tasks, thoughts, information, and we sometimes get overwhelmed by it all... I, for one, feel the need, the urge even, to pull the brakes, organize my thoughts and start to focus more on today's lessons, today's surprises, today's inspiration, today. I am thinking of it as my personal "way of attack" against the force of the never stopping time (cue the violin) and the flow of information, newness and, well, madness, around us. However, I won't stay away of it all. Knowledge excites me, be it general science, wellbeing & self-care, medicine, psychology, useful apps, tech, travel, whatnot. I will just try to filter it better, and
